Bam! Here’s some construction notes for you dragons on my latest costume- Ursula Designer Doll from Disney!
The skirt is made of repeating cascading ruffles out of a multitude of fabrics: Two tone taffetta, Purple organza, Black Net and Purple Metallic. I cut out each circle from a custom patterned and then serged and attached each one to a black underskirt made from black satin. There are over 45 yards of fabric in the skirt.
The body paint is aquacolor in lilac. It did rub off a bit even after being sprayed, but it held up pretty well. I contoured my makeup with a dark purple eyeshadow.
The necklace is a real shell painted gold. The earrings are sculpted from model magic and painted.
